Castello di Rivoli in Turin, will present tonight the special project of Andro Wekua (Suhumi, Georgia, 1977) created for the museum and realized thanks to CRT foundation. Andrea Bellini, curator of the exhibition, says that for Andro Wekua Suhumu is an almost abandoned city, a place for dreams and remembrance. Memories, in the work of the artist, are collages, moving images, figurative sculptures of scary children and teens. The exhibition Neon Shadow is part of the collaboration with Kunsthalle Wien and Kunsthalle Fridericianum of Kassel, that are now hosting the exhibitions Never Sleep with a Strawberry in Your Mouth e Pink Wave Hunter. Andro Wekua has been invited to participate to 54 Venice Biennale, called ILLUMInazioni and curated by Bice Curiger, that is the reason why the film Never Sleep with a Strawberry in Your Mouth preview, 2010, will be presented at Castello di Rivoli for the exhibition.
